I'm getting a little tired of reading little one-liner rumors about
books I've never heard of. If you must contribute such tidbits, why
not put together a digest of them on a per-site basis instead of
    cluttering up the listings?

Alternative strategy: start with a one-liner which imparts the
rumor, and then tell the rest of us what's going on. Example:

"Yes, the next Belch The Barbarian episode is due out in only
five more minutes, so get on down to the bookstore as soon as
	    you possibly can."

	Followed by explanatory text:

"Belch The Barbarian is a generic sword-and-sorcery n-ology,
first brought to public attention by Ursula Leguin, in her
memorable diatribe against the uncritical habits of mass
consumption among typical fantasy readers...whereupon, the
noted neo-pulp hack, A. Cherryh Berryh, sensing a potentially
	    mammoth market..."

You get the idea. Sorry to flame so sarcastically, but you have
a genuine opportunity to turn people on to neat books here, so put
some effort into it, will you please? In-group behavior is particularly
    impolite in a newsgroup.

Sorry Not To Have A Book To Recommend,
	    Michael Turner
