I second the recommendation of Farina's "Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me." He also wrote a second novel which I enjoyed at the time. His two records with his wife Mimi Farina were excellent of their kind; a light rock style heavily influenced by folk music. There was a particularly good song about a Walter Mitty type and another about a motorcycle. Unfortunately, my copies have been lost in the tides of time. Charles
