I haven't read *Human Scale* yet, but I have read Ivan Illich's book
*Tools for Conviviality*, which also deals with human scale. I would
recommend it to anyone concerned with the effects of the tools that
we use (and design) every day. (Illich uses the word tool to cover every-
thing from public school systems and highways to computers and pliers.)
I found it to be though provoking and a bit frightening. You should all
read it! (It's only about 120 pp.)
