[net.books] magazine department

katz@beesvax.UUCP (08/11/83)

here is a list of magazines you might not be aware of -

. games (articles, reviews, puzzles, contests )
. 4* puzzler (derivative of games; the puzzles are much more difficult than
  the ones in games; contests)
. vanity fair (new version; WONDERFUL MAGAZINE; unique layout; very
interesting articles on a wide variety of topics; excellent reading
  material)
. the movies (just started 3 months ago; MUCH better than 'american
film' from the movie institute(?); very enjoyable reading)
. california & san franciso (i have already raved about these magazines in
net.travel, but beside their local listings they are both excellent
magazines; refreshing articles and outlook on todays social attitudes)
. anna (for you needleworkers out there, a german magazine, available in
english, unique styles, monthly courses in the multitude of specialized
  needlework styles)
. atlantic (too stuffy for me, but those who are concerned with the
political side of things will enjoy it)
. esquire ( a good allround men's magazine, that i have enjoyed for over
10 years, wide variety of articles)

if anyone knows of other good, outoftheway magazines, please send your
replies VIA MAIL
