The book !umcp-cs!rene described as It IS about a prince who was locked in tower, couldn't walk, and had a magic carpet. We don't remember much else, just pictures and vague impressions. I thought it was a book, and my sister thinks it was a short story. Any bells rung out there? is The Little Lame Prince. The very old copy I have gives only the name "Miss Mulock" for the author. I can't find a copyright date but it's a 220 page novel (hard cover) with an original price of 40 cents. I found it at a used book sale several years ago and also had memorys of it as a very good children's story that I wanted to reread. I definitly remember The Secret Garden as another book I read and enjoyed but I can't remember any of the story and don't have a copy. Mary Anne Espenshade ...!seismo!umcp-cs!aplvax!mae
