I want to obtain the complete plays (ALL plays) of George Bernard Shaw.
In the US, they were listed as George Bernard Shaw's "Collected Plays
with Their Prefaces: Definitive Edition in Seven Volumes," printed in
1975 by Dodd, Mead, and Co. in New York City. Each volume cost $20.
This was the only complete plays (by Shaw) published in the US according
to the Books in Print listings for 1983-1984. Unfortunately, Vols. 2, 4,
and 7 have gone out of stock and none of the Volumes will be reprinted.
The only lead I could get from Dodd, Mead, and Co. was that a company
in Britain known as Bodley Head (sp?) also printed the Definitive Edition.
1. Are there any complete plays of Bernard Shaw sets by any company in
Canada or Britain? Names and phone numbers and addresses would be
appreciated. Perhaps you have an equivalent Books in Print listing to
check for this. Perhaps some students out there know some professors
who might know. Perhaps ....?
2. Can someone give me names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. for Bodley
Head (sp?) in Britain?
