Yes, Michener DOES have a staff of researchers but he also does a TREMENDOUS
amount of the research himself. I met him when he was researching in Colo.
for "Centennial" and was amazed at how much he knew off the top of his head
about the state's beginnings. He's just one of those super-brilliant men
that can make you feel insignificant in comparison (he's very nice about it
though).
