I have several books on the theory and construction of speakers. The best by a wide margin is @i[High Performance Loudspeakers (Second Edition)], by Martin Colloms. John Wiley and Sons, New York ("A Halstead Press Book"). (c) 1980. ISBN 0-470-26875-1; LC TK5983.C64 Brian Reid Stanford reid@Glacier.ARPA (and DEC Western Research) decvax!decwrl!reid

[*] I am looking for books that describe how to build speakers. I'm particularly interested in books that discuss how to determine driver resonance, formulas for determining volume/port volume versus driver resonance, related mechanical and acoustical interactions and so on. I am not particularly interested in designing my own crossovers, but a discussion of how to intelligently choose crossovers and drivers would be valuable to me. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Please respond by e-mail. And thanks in advance for your help!
