[net.books] "Make a big impression for a small price!"

riddle@ut-sally.UUCP (Prentiss Riddle) (05/02/84)

For Christmas this year, my father gave me an embosser -- one of those
handy-dandy little things you can use to press a round seal and the
words "LIBRARY OF JOE BLOTZ" into the pages of your books. Several of
my friends, having seen some of my books so adorned, asked me
where to get such a gizmo, but up until yesterday I didn't know.

Now, however, I have found the answer, and YOU, dear readers of
net.books, are the first fortunate few with whom I will share the
information: Barnes and Noble, the big remaindered book house, sells
them through the mail for the unheard-of low price of $9.95!

You can get the B&N catalog by writing to:

		Barnes and Noble Bookstores, Inc.
		126 Fifth Avenue
		New York, NY 10011

Not only does Barnes and Noble sell embossers and such goodies (?) as
the "Calcuruler" ("A Calculator, A Digital Clock, and A Ruler in
One!"), but they also sell quite a few books. Beware, though: about
half of their catalog of "great values" consists of new paperback books
at no discount.

But seriously, the embosser is a good deal if you, like I, have the
irresistible urge to put your name in every book you own.
