Dorothy Gilman has written another Mrs. Pollifax book, "Mrs. Pollifax on the China Station." For those of you who have not read any of this series, I highly recommend them for simply enjoyable reading. Mrs. Pollifax is a middle to late aged widow who decides to join the CIA. The books are spy novels with a light heart; Ms Gilman has created a character who is open minded and witty, full of human strength and goodness. The books are exciting adventures and accurate enough to hold a fairly knowledgable person's interest (but don't expect LeCarre). I would be happy to discuss this book with anyone else who has read it (I thought it should have been much longer). If your're looking for a good book to relax with, and maybe more of the same, try the first book, "The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax", and then read them all! --Patty Harper pharper@berkeley.arpa
