Some other books you might enjoy:

"Fads and Fallacies in the Name of Science" by Martin Gardner
 	- Some very entertaining belifs are catalogued; ever hear of
	  'Vomit Therapy?'

"The New Nonsense" by Charles Fair
	- An intelligent and well-thought theoretical approach.

"A Natural History of Nonsense" (I forget the author's name)
	- An early work, in layman's language, cataloguing odd beliefs
of 20th entury America by topic. Delightful reading.

"Imaginary Friends" by Allison Lurie
	- An excellent novel about the formation and maintenance of a
	  minority belief group.

"When Prophecy Fails" (by a group of researchers)
	- The classic belief-maintenance study, still valid.
