I'm looking for a book that chronicles the various characters in
the Arthurian legend, both the major characters and the bit players.
What I have in mind is an expanded version of Mallory's Appendix in
"Le Morte d'Arthur" entitled "Synopsis of Principal Characters".
Ideally, it would list all the characters, family trees, some synopsis
of what they did in their lives, and some sort of cross-reference
into Mallory's book, so one could find passages relating to them easily.
I don't know if such a book exists, but I figure that this is the
best place to ask.
Please reply to me directly (BY MAIL!) -- I don't normally read
this newsgroup. I'll summarize results (if any) if anyone wants me to.
