Stephen King's "The Mist" was released by ZBS Foundation about mid '84. (ZBS is a "radio theater" group --lots of other GOOD stuff from them) If this cassette is a true indicator of the story I wouldn't hold my breath! The story concerns the inhabitants of a small New England village whose lives are traumatized when something terrible happens at the nearby military project. A score of people are trapped at the village general store when THE MIST rolls in. All who leave the store never return and truly awful screaming is heard from outside. ( That part was aurally gruesome!) The cassette left no reason why any of the heroes evolved, nor why any of the others started to fall apart. Of course, this might just be another example of why King should stick to writing. Dave S. ihnp4!godot!daves
