[net.books] St. Christopher

Does anyone out there know what river St. Christopher
was supposed to have carried travelers across? I'd
appreciate suggestions about what references one could
consult for such information.

Try the Lives Of The Saints. I don't know author or publisher, but it
was must reading back when I was in Catholic high school. You'll
probably have to look for an edition that's at least 15 years old,
because sometime in the last 20 years I think St. Christopher was
'demoted' from sainthood, along with a number of other saints whose
existence is dubious (St. Philomena also went by the wayside then).

The best place to look would probably be at a Catholic high school
library.
