I have just read Myth-ing Persons by Robert Asprin. One of the things
I enjoy about this series is the fractured quotations at the beginning
each chapter such as :

		------------------------------------------
			"Success often hinges on
			choosing a reliable partner."
						Remus
		------------------------------------------

		------------------------------------------
		     "To survive, one must be able to
			adapt to changing situations"
				     Tyrannosaurus Rex
		------------------------------------------

		------------------------------------------
		    "First, let's decide who's leading
			and who's following."
					F. Astaire
		------------------------------------------

		------------------------------------------
			   "I've never seen
			so damn many Indians."
					G.A. Custer
		------------------------------------------

I only have one problem. Can anyone give me a hint as to the import
of :

		------------------------------------------
		    "Don't be fooled by appearances."
					Malloy
		------------------------------------------

and who is/was Malloy?
