I am interested in reading works of African authors written in French. I would appreciate any leads to authors, titles, sources. Thanks in advance. Joyce Black -- ...{ihpn4,dual}!ptsfa!ptsfc!joyceb

There is (or was a couple years ago) a bookstore in Paris called l'Harmattan, 16, rue des Ecoles, 75005 Paris. I think they have a mail order catalog. There are also a couple of french-language magazines about Africa published in Paris, which sometimes do book reviews: Jeune Afrique and Afrique-Asie. The latter is difficult to find in the states in its french edition since its English edition, AfricAsia, came out. -- John Quarterman, UUCP: {ihnp4,seismo,harvard,gatech}!ut-sally!jsq ARPA Internet and CSNET: jsq@ut-sally.ARPA, soon to be jsq@sally.UTEXAS.EDU
