September 16-22 is National Banned Book Week.
National Banned Book Week is sponsored by the American Association of
Libraries, various publisher's organizations, author's organizations,
etc.
Banned books include such classics as Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer
(racist), Shakespeare (sexual language, etc.), the dictionary (wouldn't
want kids looking up all that foul stuff, would we ?), the Bible (various
offenses).
