[net.books] Original Tenniel woodcuts for 'Alice' discovered

The BBC World Service reported this morning that the
original woodcuts done by Sir John Tenniel for "Alice's
Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass"
had been discovered in a bank vault in London.

Apparently while searching through the Macmillan's vault in
their bank a large black case was uncovered, bearing a note
which said "Keys in accounts dept". When this was broken
open, a similar case was found inside. When this was opened
in turn, the woodcuts were discovered. They are in perfect
condition.
