>> The official author is 'Kenneth Robeson' which was a house name. The Doc

Not particularly. Pulp fan Will Murray cracked the authorship of all of the
Doc Savage stories, first by stylistic examination, second by going through
the Street and Smith payment records, and third by going through Lester Dent's
papers. The biggest complication was in tracking down the stories that were
contracted to Dent, but were sub-contracted by Dent out to other pulp authors
such as Ryerson Johnson. Will detailed all of this (as well as including a
detailed bibliography) in a fanzine on the pulps that he published/edited,
called DUENDE (which he published some 7-8 years ago).

For those who are interested, there is a currently-being-aired series of
Doc Savage radio dramas on National Public Radio. Here in the St. Louis,
MO area, it is on WSIE, Edwardsville, IL (88.7 MHz FM) at 6:30 PM on
Fridays. The credits read at the end of each episode give "Lester Dent"
as the original author, at least so far (two stories have been
serialized that I have heard -- Fear Key is one but I can't recall the
other title). If you like this sort of thing, call your local NPR
station(s) and request that they air it.
