Since I seemed to have opened this discussion about h.s.t., I might point out that serious h.s.t. fans might remember when he did a piece about the honolulu marathon that appeared in RUNNING magazine several years ago which was classic thompson. Since nothing else by him ever graced the pages of RUNNING since, one might conclude that the normal readers just weren't ready for this kind of thing, and RUNNING went back to filling their pages with 5-star shoe ratings and other tawdry articles. Pity.
