Maybe the powers-that-be could create "net.books.lists" -- this was already mentioned. Or, Bill Dippert could set up a mailing list of "list-people". Mod.booklists? Until then, though, despairing netters using rn can try this -- no guarantees, but it SHOULD work: Next time you see one of Dippert's lists, type an upper-case K. Then, when it returns the "End of article XXX" prompt, hit ^K. This will put you into vi (or ex, or emacs, or whatever) with the kill file -- which will have a line reading /XXX Books/j (this tells rn to automatically 'junk' messages with that subject). Edit the "XXX Books" to say "Bill Dippert" -- and if I am right, rn should (repeat SHOULD) automatically kill any mesages from Dippert in net.books. If that seemed terribly banal, excuse me.. but there are net netusers out there who don't know everything rn can do. A thirty page man entry CAN be a bit intimidating. -- Bill Wisner / The Computer Connection UUCP: ihnp4!chinet!bdw CIS: 76474,1213 USNail: 6290 Highway 44 Star, ID 83669 Witty Quote: If you owned the universe, where would you put it?
