Could anyone give me any information (bio, book list, etc) about
E.C. Tubb? The books I've seen of his have all had a hero by
the name of Earl Dumarest. Thanks for your help!

I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me the name of
an author that wrote several juvenile books that featured actors that
did Shakespeare's plays as part of the book. The actors were
"contemporary", actually sometime in the 60's. Sorry, it's such a
vague description, but I enjoyed them so much I would like to know if
they are still in print. The characters were likable and showed many
of the problems of stage life.

				Thanks!

E.C. Tubb is a British writer who started publishing sf in the early 50's.
His output is longer than I'd care to list --- Robert Reginald's SCIENCE
FICTION AND FANTASY LITERATURE, VOLUME 1: INDEXES TO THE LITERATURE, which
only goes up to 1974, lists over 60 books by Tubb under various pseudonyms.
He's done *at least* 20 books since then. Aside from the Dumarest series,
he's most well-known as the author of the Cap Kennedy series for DAW Books
under the pseudonym Gregory Kern. Tubb has also written a handful of novel-
izations of SPACE: 1999 episodes.

With the exception of the Cap Kennedy books, all but one (as far as
I know) of his novels published under psuedonyms have been published only
in Britain. With that one novel (ENTERPRISE 2115) the American publication
(retitled THE MECHANICAL MONARCH) had Tubb's own name on it.
