My husband and I collect mythologies from anywhere. We have found that Penguin Publishers have produced some of the most readable mythology around. These include Norse and Chinese mythology. Also the Barnes and Noble catalog has several mythology books. We've gotten Celtic, Germanic, Hindu, American Indian, Irish, African and Russian from them (probably more too that I can't think of now). Anyway these are all pretty readable - some more than others. For Greek mythology, I've read everything I can get my hands on and I recommend Robert Graves' mythology, both volumes. Have fun!
