When I learned what Jesus was doing, I thought that it is one of the most neat events in the Bible. When you ask Jesus something, you always get an answer. So Jesus was giving the Pharisees an answer. As much as Jesus knew, he humbled himself and reminded the Pharisees with subtlety the author of the Law of Moses. The Pharisees were puffed up by their knowledge and did not realize the hint that since Jesus wrote the law with his finger, it was stupid for anyone to trick him with the law. The following scriptures support the reasoning above. Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" Exodus 31:18 When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God. John 8:6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. John 8:58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" floyd!dyl

AARRRRGHHH!!!!!!! dyl, would you ****PLEASE**** be intelligible in your answers! What, oh, what, does Exodus 3:14, 31:18, and John 8:58 have to do with the original question? Do you just pick out random quotations from the bible or is there some method to it? Beatriz Infante, HP Design Aids Lab ..!ucbvax!hpda!bvi
