[net.religion] TV evangelists

geo (04/01/83)

I just finished re-reading David Wright's "LONG article on right-wing
politics and religion" (cornell.4193). Thanks David, I found it a very
interesting article. After reading this article there is something I would
like to ask other people's opinion about:

Do you think TV evangelists are:
[a] sincerely religious people, who only do what they do out of a desire
to serve God, or their fellow man.
[b] sincerely religious people, who are happy to do what they consider
good works, and pay the bills at the same time.
[c] people who do what they do solely for material gains, and are not
    necessarily sincerely religious at all.

I am willing to compile the results mailed to me, and post the result.
I am not planning to post a summary of people's responses, just the totals,
so if you have thoughts about this question, you might as well post them.
I will post the totals ten days from now.
