#N:zehntel:19200009:000:507 zehntel!greg Jun 28 17:07:00 1983 A couple of people have commented on the possibility that it had never rained before the time of Noah, and thus that the rainbow, the symbol of God's promise, had never been seen before the promise. While this is not exactly a major doctrinal issue, it's an interesting question. There is further evidence to support this possibility in Hebrews 11:7: "By faith Noah, being warned by God about things *not yet seen* ..." (emphasis mine). But who knows...
