In case I've misled anyone, I have NO complaints about calling Israel "the Holy Land" once in a while. I am complaining about the fact that some people ALWAYS call it "the Holy Land" and never call it Israel. I believe it's the Holy Land, but I still call it Israel. If you want to call it the Holy Land, fine, especially if you have need to refer to the fact that it's holy as part of the point that you're making. But with all the pressure Israel has being recognized as a nation, we/they sometimes infer negative messages from the world outside Israel. I didn't mean to create such a disturbance but I've been getting a flow of mail questions which shows that my position on this has been vague. Andy Tannenbaum Bell Labs Whippany, NJ (201) 386-6491

I agree with those who say we should use the name Israel. Furthermore, as a former resident of America'sland, I wish that G Heileman Brewing would quit calling Wisconsin, "God's Country" in the Old Style beer commericals. Just trying to add some humor. Mark "I always call it Israel" Kohls
