My apologies.  It was not the stress of the mission or being on the moon
I was talking about.  It was the stress of isolation and being different
once back on Earth.  This was apparently a long-term stressful situation,
not dealt with by the NASA types.  Much was expected of the astronauts.
They were instant heroes unprepared for the set of expectations we
had for them.

One of the Apollo astronauts was an alcoholic and he
was asked after he recovered if he was worried about making
the trip.  He replied, No, it was only seven days and he'd
already done nine.
