Maybe an in-flesh preacher is better than a TV one -- but many people
who are very old or sick or in far removed places (there are other good
reasons) have no other choice to receive spiritual flow.
That's what makes the detestable quality of these antihumanist,
pseudochristian, fundamentalist fascists so tragic. The people who
are most in need of enlightenment are being fed the spiritual
equivalent of Hostess Ho Ho's.
The stuff makes people get sicker, not healthier.
On the other hand, seeing that kind of `religion' on a medium that
also displays car-dealing con artists, screaming furniture salesmen,
and yes, Hostess Ho Ho commercials, has more enlightenment potential
than an infinity of net.religion articles.
Strange how many of technology's benefits ironically arise from its
shit-producing nature.
Truly Humanist religious leaders have much to be heard by people of
all philosophies. If Gandhi were alive today, I wonder if he'd appear
on the `eye of hell'.
