John Rutis had some excellent points in his lengthly response to unc!tim.
The Baha'i Faith is founded on the premise that Christ has already returned,
and that we are already in the midst of his "kingdom on earth". I am not a
Baha'i, but I am an interested skeptic (perhaps to my detriment) and I have
found the book A THIEF IN THE NIGHT by William Sears to be very interesting.
The ideas and philosophy are similar to Mr Rutis', with major exceptions being:

1 - Acceptance of Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism
as well as Christianity as "legitimate".

2 - Acceptance of scientific "fact" as truth from God.

Still, the basic premise is the coming of a literal "kingdom on earth".
