[net.religion] Objects

wex@ittvax.UUCP (Alan Wexelblat) (08/31/83)

Pardon me for being dense, but what is the world made up of, if not objects?
Certainly objects form the vast majority of our sensory experiences. Just
look around the room! Everything I can see is an object. The point being
made is that this perception is not really correct!

Objects are just an abstraction. Take the terminal in front of you.
Is it an object? Or, is it a collection of objects. Or is the
terminal in conjunction with the floor of the room an objects. Or, is
the collection of all the terminals in your office an object?

Objects are just abitrary sets of matter that we conceptually associate.
