[net.religion] Why pick on Mormons

nancyh@tekecs.UUCP (Nancy Hill) (09/03/83)

Dearest Todd,

Somehow when reading your article I got the impression you were
related to or knew someone who was married to a Mormon girl. Right?
How did I guess!?

Well Todd, don't judge the whole Mormon crowd with the example of
an obvious nimrod. I have two sisters who are married to non-Mormon
spouses. We couldn't ask for two nicer guys. My brother is married
to a Mormon girl, please - don't ask. It is true that there is
a great emphasis on being married 'within' the church. I
feel it is better for some because of the same goals, same religion,
same basic upbringing but (BIG but) I have seen many, MANY,
Mormon nuts to fill a stadium. Believe me, it is just as hard to
find a semi-normal Mormon spouse candidate as it is anywhere else
(maybe even harder). However, I wouldn't dump my non-Mormon husband
(if I had one) just to get one.

Do me (and yourself) a favor and don't judge us all by an obvious nut.

			I'm Mormon and I'm o.k. (?!)

p.s. In regards to being a 'baby-machine' - Has it ever occurred to
you that some of us 'like !?' kids?
