Both of David's (ssc-vax!david) arguments for homosexuality being wrong
amount to the same thing: it is contra-survival. I don't think that is
sufficient reason to keep people from engaging in an activity, or to
discriminate against such people in areas not affected by said activity.

The problem with making contra-survival activities `wrong' is that
a large percentage of the American leisure time activities (playing
football, drinking carbonated waters, reading netnews, praying) are
contra-survival. Since our capitalistic system (Finagle ignore it)
has been increasing the amount of leisure time we have, and will
probably continue to do so in the future, we are going to have even
more time to do dangerous things in the future. If you are planning to make
contra-survival a bad thing in and of itself, you had better come up with
something else to do during that time that people won't object to.

First, motss == members of the same sex. What they discuss, I don't know -
I found out what it was and then tuned it out.

The problem with turning off netgroups that discuss sins is deciding what
is/isn't a sin? Who gets to make the decision? For instance, I don't think
there is anything sinful in sex (choose your favorite flavor) between
consenting adults, but public advocating one form over another, or advocating
discrimination against other based on sex or sexual preference, is wrong.
I don't know if people use net.motss to advocate homosexuality. If they do,
it should be turned off; if not, it should be left on. Of course, we should
turn off net.religion, as people use it to advocate their religion...
