Is it not an insult to tell people that they are basically the same as primordial ooze, that they exist only by chance, and that therefore they have neither value nor meaning? Lew Mammel is right: the "therefore" is a non-sequitur. This is explained EXTREMELY WELL in the article "The Meaning of Life" by Kurt Baier, which can be found (I think) in the book *Philosophy for a New Generation*. All you humanism-religionism debaters, please read this article. It is dead right. I will present similar arguments myself when I get around to it. --Paul Torek, umcp-cs!flink
