Note the ``ie human male''.   This is an interpretation of what
you've read --> that masculinity is one of the salient features
of Jesus' appearance.   I, and probably many others, can easily
see this as male chauvinism.   Perhaps "in a like manner" simply
means in the flesh.   Maybe it means speaking Aramaic.   Or having
an abiding impatience with fig trees that don't bear fruit out of
season.
