[net.religion] Weird & Wonderful ...

tld@ssc-vax.UUCP (02/16/84)

I haven't read all 102 lines of this message, but a statement at
the beginning caught my eye:

"Christian faith is centered on trying to lead a full
	human life..."

Close, but not quite. Christian faith is centered on the Person of
Jesus Christ. God made man for us and for our salvation. One of
the results of that faith is the ability to lead a fuller human
life with Jesus.

The Church, i.e. the body of all Christian beleivers, is often
refered to as the "Bride of Christ." While we wait for the Bride-
Groom to return, the Holy Spirit is performing His regenerative
work on us to make us a fit Bride for the King. It is this
regenerative work of the Holy Spirit that leads to a fuller human
life. But the faith is not centered on this life but on The
Incarnate God.
