The first reply I read would be good for your few sci fi followers, but on the more serious side... ...how about first asking your Explorers what they think would be good. If you don't think this would be appropriate, why not just give thanks. (Period.) Something along the lines of... "Let us be thankful for [whatever, the food] we have here..." with no mention of any religious symbol, concept, etc. I say this for if you said "God", there are Islams (if I am correct) that would say "Allah". I am not sure. But getting back to this prayer, it would allow the children to thank whoever or whatever they wish; or just to be thankful. I don't want to draw this out but I have more to say.
