[net.religion] translation of the Torah with commentary

Those of you who (like me) are fond of the Jewish Publication Society
translation of the Bible might be interested in a new version (of the Torah
only) that includes a "modern commentary". It's apparently an edition
intended for synagogue use, as it includes the weekly Haftorah portions
and the Hebrew text. (The Torah is the five Books of Moses; the Haftorah
is a set of selections from the portion of the Bible known as Nivi'im
("Prophets") that are read each week, just after the Torah portion of the
week.) According to the blurb I have here, the new volume includes
"explanatory footnotes and essays, bibliographies, gleanings, maps, and
index". I'm going to order it; I'll post a review if anyone's interested.
