Noticed a late-late movie (pseudo-documentary) last night. Described Hindu and Buddhist texts recording Jesus's travels to Persia, India, and maybe Tibet between the ages of ~14 - ~30. Also, some early Christian writings that referenced this but were cut out of the Bible by Constantine's political/religious council ~300 AD (boycotted by the Roman Pope). Is there anyone out there with any knowledge of references regarding this? Is it true/false/undecidable? Was Christian philosophy influenced by eastern philosophies in other ways at other times? Didn't Plato make a similar journey from age ~25 - ~45? Got me musing about interactions of early mythology and philosophy from the different civilizations. I know a little bit about Joseph Campbell's work on comparative mythology. If you have any additional pointers, I'd appreciate a short note by mail. - Rick Curren @ Masscomp, Westford, MA 01886 (617)-692-6200 {decvax,ihnp4,harpo,tektronix}!masscomp!rick
