<God's Law, Canon Law, Natural Law - bip!> Every belief system with a label has expressed or implied dogmas, a set of beliefs that one must hold true if one is to validly have that label applied to him. The dogmas of the Catholic Church are codified. In the Catholic grammar school i attended, the 7th or 8th grade nun told us, i seem to remember, that there were 8 dogmas of the Catholic Religion. I even remember 7 of them, but can't remember the 8th. The 7 are: 1) There is only one God. 2) The Trinity 3) J.C. is the Son of God. 4) Transubstantiation - The bread + wine are REALLY turned into the ACTUAL body and blood of J.C., even tho there is no experiment which can determine that it isn't still bread + wine. 5) The Immaculate Conception 6) Mary, J.C.'s mother, rose bodily into heaven. 7) Papal Infallibility I have some doubts about 1), but the others are fer sure. What is the other (assuming that there really are 8)? That the Bible is an inspired work? the resurrection? Everlasting life? I am also soliciting comments on my memory. Am i correct in what i said above? And what are the dogmas for other religions?
