[net.religion] an open mind

>Yes, and then all those people may have been WANTING help to get out of
>their rotten and degraded lives (as perceived by them and others).

But don't you see? That is the whole point! How can you possibly ever
hope to know anyone or anything if you do not SEEK this knowledge? Haven't
you ever wanted to get to know a person that was very private and not inclined
to open up? Such a person is not likely to let down the barriers just because
you SAY you want to be friends.
But if you keep your mind, heart and eyes open and really keep trying, you
might learn something - if not about "God" then at least about people!
However, I'm sure these people did more than just WANT help - they BELIEVED
in it. Perhaps faith is the most important ingredient, but faith can only
come with conviction. As yet, I am not convinced - but at least I'm not
opposed!
