That is not the whole point.  I said that the person had to want to receive
help.  If the person is very private and not inclined to open up, I can do
very little if nothing at all.

Or, of course, about most everything.

Believed in help?  As in help from god?  Most assuredly those particular
people did but not everyone who goes looking for and finds help does it
from the religious angle.
