A radical thought just occurred to me [BICKFORD THINKING RADICAL
THOUGHTS? WHAT IS NET.RELIGION COMING TO? -ED]: noting that tempers are
becoming more extreme in both directions, that things are degenerating
so far that too much is construed as personal attacks (although neither
intended nor desired that way), and that all of us (well, most of us)
have a lot of things we'd rather be doing, especially during the summer
and with the family -
I propose deactivating net.religion for the summer. If we get around to
resuming it in the fall, hopefully a lot of things will be milder and it
won't be an imitation of net.flame or net.politics.
I got into this group because someone had a question about whether or
not the Bible told of a certain event happening. I would have remained
at that level except the war had already started and a lot of
misinformation was being spread about what the Bible said. I gladly
remain available by e-mail for any questions about what the Bible says
on a particular subject (not what *I believe* but what is written).
Respond by mail or to the net. Mailed ones will be summarized and posted.
