Most Christians I know personnally, Christian TV and radio programs, and recent Christian books that I'm familiar with (and retoric found here on net.religion) all teach very differently about fundamentals of the Christian religion than I believe is taught in the Bible, and was taught by theologians in the past. As I am a newcomer to this newsgroup and not familiar with very much of its history, I'll only open up with one thought. Several recent articles make frequent mention of a "leap of faith". While such a phrase may have significant meaning outside of Christian 'saving faith', I believe it is not correct to use it in the context of becoming a Christian. I believe such faith is a gift of God and "not all men have faith". in Him who works all things after the council of His will, gary
