TITLE: Speaking in Tounges AUTHOR: William Samarin Dr. Samarin was a Christian missionary and is a linguist. The book appeared in l968 or so. I am unsure of the title. He shows that the utterances people produce while speaking in tongues are related only to languages the speakers have already been exposed to. Since Dr. Samarin is a professional and knows what he is talking about, he will probably be ignored by the Net. -- Henry Polard (You bring the flames - I'll bring the marshmallows.) {ihnp4,cbosgd,amd}!fortune!polard N.B: The words in this posting do not necessarily express the opinions of me, my employer, or any AI project.
