This little goody arrived in my mailbox a few days ago.... "60 SECONDS is all it takes!" Dear single friend: Do the dates you have or the relationships you develop consistenly fall short of your expectations? Have you had happy relationships, or a marriage that worked well for a while, but eventually ended? Have you found that today it is more difficult to meet the right people... etc etc etc... Please, use the next few minutes to fill out this questionaire. it's fun, and all it takes is your willingness to be open and honest. For many, this has been the first step to a fulfilling new begining. On the back of the flyer is a questionaire that asks you to give "your first genuine reaction to the following questions." Here are a few of the questions that the flyer distributed by "Maritronics (the "single" solution since 1962") contains.... Instructing my childern on sex would be embarrasing. I could not be close to someone who was not "Godfearing." Religious training for childern should be mandatory. I attend church on a regular basis. Morality of the past, is better than that of the present. I would enjoy watching a stylish porno movie. I believe in GOD. Without my faith in GOD, life would not be worth living. GOD always hears me. Religion is the key to happiness. I believe there is a heaven and a hell. I believe in the theory of evolution. I wouldn't mind it so much if the flyer just came out and said, "Hi there we are a Christian dating service and...." But when they have to sneak about with a venear of being sinply, "a matchmaking service" then my feathers get ruffled. What happens if you answer negativly to the questions pertaining to religion (which consume a good percentage of the total questions). What then? Are you rejected as a candidate? Is this a subtle hint that Aetheists and non "Godfear'in" folk need not apply? Religion through the backdoor. The means do NOT justify the ends. - John
