[net.religion] Baked especially for Russel Spence

It occured to me that recent posting by Spence might not have been
a joke. The following is based on that assumption. I apologize
if I am mistaken.

> Was Hitler wrong in killing the Jews? Well, history has already made that
> judgement, he lost the war.

Those things are not related. Anti-semitizm helped unite German nation and
in any case did not affect military outcome.
Mistreatment of Soviet civilians did.

> What pisses me off is that since Hitler did commit this "atrocity", people
> use that as an excuse to remove their own guilt for things that they did durin
> the war.

Why '"' around atrocity? Do you doubt that murder of an innocent person
is ugly thing? Try picturing your mom as the object. Or whatever.

> Which country is the only country to use atomic weapons on fellow human
> being?

Debatably, this and other listed actions actually saved innocent lives.

> Which "freedom-loving" country suspended the civil rights of a group of
> citizens simply because ethnically they were of Japanese origin?

Using your logic: Japanese got all the mileage out of it. Money.
National feeling of guilt. Why respect them? Those who
deprived them of rights are so much more worthy of respect.
Bullshit like that.

> Of course people will say, "Oh, but look what Hitler did to the Jews!!".
> This makes me sick. Does that make what we did right?

Who says that? Chances are they are bloody idiots.

> But, my, isn't it ironic that the people who have
> gotten the most mileage out of the holocaust are the Jews?

I fail to see how my parents got mileage out of having their
relatives killed. If you, Spence, were told: your family
would be murdered, and you will get mileage - will become
the prime minister of Spencia, I presume you would agree.

> But hey, you can't
> criticize them. Oh, no, look what Hitler did to them.
> support!! No, we can't do that, look at all the problems they've had!

Why can't you criticize Israeli policies? Who are the idiots
who would reject serious critical analysis using such a
laughable excuse? Nobody I know.

> Personally I have alot more respect for Hitler and the Nazis than I do for
> the Jews. The Jews were just victims. At least the Nazis had ideals
> for which they willing to fight and die for and yes even commit "atrocities"
> for. Which of the three do you think takes more courage?

The Jews were just INDIVIDUALS living and letting others live.
What the hell do you respect? Courage? Proceed then to say that
murderers as a group deserve much more respect then victims.
Victims, you see, are just victims. Nameless folk.

> But isn't it so much easier to close your eyes, condemn the Nazis (who will
> argue with you?) and pretend that Hitler was insane?

What did you prove? I do not know.
As to Hitler - would be hard to deny that the man was
not mentally stable - how else would he believe inane
theory of Aryan superiority, etc.
The whole society of Nazi Germany was sick - sociology books call it
pathology of normalcy.

If you start denying that, you must as well say that "1984"
society is healthy.

Oh, no, you can't argue that fellow Cherepov, see what Nazis did
to his people.
        etc.
