How about Fire on High by ELO?

For long songs with many mood changes, certainly Pink Floyd has to win
the prize in my mind. Especially the "Buring Man" album (Wish You Were
Here). There are two long versions of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"--
one on each side.

Actually, the entire first side is one piece of music, even though
it is physically divided into tracks.

Pink Floyd does a lot of that.

Some of the 'Long & Varied' pieces in my collection include:

Terrapin Station -- Side B of the Dead album of the same name
Fantasia -- Side A of 'Fresh Aire II' by Mannheim Steamroller
(Actually this is several separate pieces on the album,
but the entire side has a common musical theme that is
explored in a different way on each cut)
The Friends of Mr. Cairo -- Side B, Cut 1 on the Jon & Vangelis album
(Not all that long -- only about 12 minutes -- but varied
and quite good [Ha! Beat you to it, pH!]))

Also, the aforementioned Jean-Michel Jarre albums 'Oxygene', 'Equinoxe',
and 'Magnetic Fields' are worth listening to.
