In his article, cjc@psuvm.BITNET (sorry, your name was not imbedded in your article) said the following: ``And then find an insurance policy and read the list of events that are considered to be acts of God - earthquake, flood, tornado, etc.'' I think this stands as proof that as a race, as a species, we are all very well aware of what kind of malevolent creature God really is, but that in our desire to view the universe as having a benevolent father figure in control, we avoid and ignore what we do not wish to admit.
