[net.religion] Taxing non-prophet Organizations

wildman@rabbit.UUCP (10/19/85)

My collegues and I don't see any question of fact in all of
this nonsense about taxation, and the like. It's clear
to us that the law says that only non-prophet organizations
are to be taxed.

Jesus, Moses, and Mohammed were all prophets, or so some
believe. Clearly, any organization that believes in a prophet
isn't a non-prophet organization, and thus can't have
special tax privelidges.

In case those of you who hadn't thought about it very
hard haven't realized, the founding fathers,
although wise and far-seeing, couldn't spell very well,
and they wrote "profit" where they meant "prophet" instead.

After all, if this is the promised land, then profit must
really mean prophet!
